How in the world can you write these????

Another call this morning... $15,000, collect from the jail....

"how much less will you take to write the bond?"... to which I replied... "$1500 in premium but I need to talk to someone who is going to accept responsibility on the bond... to which he replied... "responsibility??? you are getting my money... you are responsible!! and anyhow, I have another bondsman that will do it for $750..." to which I replied... "you need to call that bondsman right now... that is a deal and by the way, what is his name, I need to have his number when folks like you call me!!"

... I don't even want to start negotiations.... when someone starts telling me how I AM GOING TO WRITE THE BOND... I just toss it... I guess I have lost a few like that but I have shorter and shorter fuse now days and frankly... I just don't need the headache.... not at my advanced age...

Besides the big part about them wanting to tell you how you will write the bond,what happens if they do get thier way and think they can tell you how and when they will pay?
some people seem to think that bondsman becomes thier employee when they write the bond,people need to listen when they are told about the bond that the bondsman may or may not write for them!!You are not being paid by them,they are paying you back and gaining thier freedom with a little extra for your time and generosity.
I know you dont need my reassurance Bill but ill give it to you anyway!! (even though i dont write the bonds,only chase the bad ones)You did absolutely what should be done,this person thought he could dictate what was going to happen and by what you wrote seems like he actually expected it to happen HIS or HER way.
You are in jail people show some respect for the man or woman that may be coming to your rescue!! lol
I am rambling again on here i seem to have caught that bug lately i guess!! must come from being around the rest of you guys

It amazes me the bail bond calls I get here lately. They are horrible. Its hard to say no to someone that has all the cash (percentage). However, when they have no job, have no family, and basically no history, I am always prompted as speezak says to say no. I do know these bonds are being written however. I can only hope it will bite my competitors and they will have to drop out of the race, hopefully for good.
