It is a conflict of interest here in CO as well. No one in any form of LE or the judicial system including parole and probation officers, judges, etc can write bond or do BE work. No bond agent is allowed to give anything of value, even a Christmas card, to anyone in a position of authority (including attorneys) to arrest or recommend a bond agent. We are also not allowed to refer an attorney to anyone we have on bond or have been contacted about a bond for.
