hey guys so i just found out that one of my $50000 skips may be dead in Kenya. his name is Timothy Odenyo, i found a facebook page for him where there are alot of R.I.P comments, i wanted to get your thoughts on how to go about this one lol

I would print the face book pages showing the rip messages as well as contact the government there and see if they have a death certificate. Due to all of the scams out of Africa, and the fact that bondsmen have used bogus out of country death certificates before, I wish you luck. Does your indemnitor have any contact with his family to work with you to this end?

In CA you will need a certified and notarized copy of the death certificate with confirmation from the U.S. embassy, the apostile process, photographs of the deceased and newspaper notices, if available.
And then you will probably still lose the summary judgement. Because as Scott stated, there have been too many staged deaths and scams by bail agents that the courts are not believing the out of the country death defenses anymore.
