To anyone with knowledge:
In the state of Ohio, you must be a licensed bondsman in order to perform any kind of fugitive recovery. This I know, unless my research was wrong. I am interested in performing recovery work on a contract basis, but the bonding aspect is not necessarily what I would like to do. If I get my bondsman license, does anyone know if there are issues regarding keeping the license "active" if I'm not actually writing bonds? Does an Ohio bondsman license expire and if so, what is the renewal process? The Ohio Department of Insurance web site does not list any information regarding my questions and I have not been able to find any answers on the forum.
I greatly appreciate your help.

I recommend you contact Steve Faircloth - aka AWOBB on here.
He can answer your questions.
