May you have a speedy recovery!! That really stinks when it costs more than you earn. Hope that they make her pay restitiution to you and also give her some pen time that would make it sweet or the sugar part of spice and box cutter.

Dave,

I am glad you are still with us..that was abad deal all the way around.

One of my guys was almost killed about 2 months ago on a lousy $300.00 bond. The fugitive broke from his house and ran down the street. My guy chased him down, they struggled, the fugitive broke loose and ran again. My guy again ran him down and tackled him a second time..this time getting his cuffs on him.

It was only after walking the fugitive back to the car did my guy realize he had been stabbed in the stomach !...during the first struggle the fugitive had stabbed him with a small knife...and my guy still ran him down and captured him !...he was in the hospital for about 3 weeks..lost most of his colon and part of his stomach....all over $300.00!

2 weeks ago one of my other team members over in Chattanooga, Tn. was after a fugitive who was inside a house. They tried to enter it to capture him and and he shot at them...my guys immediately withdrew from the house, took cover, set up a containment perimeter and called 911..they never once returned fire.

The fugitive got away from them that night in spite of a massive manhunt including k-9's. About 2 weeks later the fugitive had another court date on an unrelated charge...Yep, he showed up for that one and my guy nailed him right there in the court house with assists from the deputies.

Just goes to show how dangerous our jobs really are..in spite of the bond amounts.

I thank God he was protecting you that night.

Take care and God Bless,

Ruffin.

A BEA from my AO was recently in a footchase when the skip suddenly turned and opened fire. Luckily, everyone was fine.

Ruffin: PM sent.
