I realise this is an older thread but here is some of the info from Ga Bail Recovery, that I can provide since I live and work in GA.:

[quote="Mindtracker"]Obviously unknown to you and the Leo's you dealt with, you violated Ga. Criminal Code with your attire and badges. Count this one as being lucky. quote]
As Mindtracker stated, GA. Criminal code was violated with the badges and attire but also with the crossing of state lines. Whether I agree with this or not (and I don’t; if your skip crosses the line then I think you should be able to follow; it does give me the opportunity to pick up more work, though), no one that is not a resident of GA. or has not completed the annual continuous training class can perform Recovery work in the state of GA. “Out of state Bail Recovery Agents shall employ a Georgia Bail Recovery Agent who is lawfully registered pursuant to his part.” Before 1999 this was not the case, but instead the out of state agent only had to show that he was lawful in his home state and had to bring a proper, certified, copy of the bond forfeiture or failure to appear to the sheriff in the county the recovery work would be performed. Not any more. You have to hire one of us to do the capture for you and bring them to the state line.
