I was just wondering if there are bounty hunters who work alone or are they all teams. Now i am 20 almost 21 years old. I have been interested in becoming a fugitive recovery agent for a while. I was just wondering who the ideal candidates would be for forming a fugitive recovery team. there are also other questions i have like whats the best way to get a job as a solo FRA. I have heard people sending email after email with no response. Is there any way to set yourself apart from others in your area. i know you need to get a reputation but how can you if you cant get a job. Any info would be great

I would not work alone unless I absolutely feel I can make an arrest safely. You can never really know what will happen during an arrest, even the seemingly easy ones.
If you're forming your own team, gather people with previous experience. If you have no experience of your own, call around and try to work for an established agent with a fair amount of cases.
The best way to market yourself is to work with experienced agents first. You'll meet bondsman along the way.

Tank,
there is a thread at the heading of the forum column entitled "bea faq's" which addresses alot of your questions. Next there is a seperate heading regarding marketing yourself.
The information contained in both of those threads covers most routine, generic questions. If, after reading these you still have questions, then please ask.

Hey thanks Ruffin on the help with girl in the mental hospital. Anniston PD picked her up last. And you're not going to believe this, the Judge issued a court order to the hospital to release all of her personal info to us so we could locate her. That was a first...
Thanks again man

Yw. it alsos ets a standard, that the rest of us can use as a case precedent to show to other judges to compel them to issue similar court orders.
that judge just opened up a whole new door for us to coerce people to cooperate with us.
