Just do not show the judge up in court and you should not have a problem.
As for Illinois there is a legal way to do it if they (BEA) reside in that state. The laws pertain to out of state BEA's and does not prevent in state but it is a sticky area but I do know of someone that resides there and does recovery work.

"bailMO" have you had any contact with Scott? It would be nice to know if the LAW only applies to out of state BEA's and / or what are the actual requirements (statutes) regarding recovery in Illinois.

Actually it was already posted in this forum over a year ago by someone from Illinois and there was considerable debate about the post until he copied the statutes. You may want to try and do a key word search on that topic it should still be in here somewhere.

Couldn't find the post - called M.Levi in Illinois, he states that one MUST be NIBE CERTIFIED.
NO PEACE OFFICER on or off duty may do Fugitive Recovery.
One can go thru the UECA procedures.
They are regulated by the Private Investigator / Security Dept.
Bob is correct in that the Illinois statute that is currently on the books states that no OUTSIDE individuals in Recovery may make a recovery in Illinois without going thru the proper channels - so to be cost effective and have the least risk - one must hire a NIBE CERTIFIED Agent to do the recovery.

Be kind, Im new here, whats NIBE? Keep in mind, Im not a recovery agent. Im a bondsman. But in MO, that gives us the same authority to pick up our skips, along with most other states, as Im sure you know.
