While we rarely do the suit and tie routine, we customarily dress office casual for work. If you have ever seen what US Marshals wear you know what we look like. It's dressy enough to go almost anywhere and you don't stick out as someone who is looking to arrest anyone. Has worked for us really well. Have only worn a raid jacket twice and that was when working with LE on a couple of joint ventures.

Well you have heard advice and comments from seasoned, nationally renowned veteran BEA's, some with over a thousand arrests, 0 lawsuits, and 0 gun incidents..so obviously these guys know what they are doing. Seems to me, If I were a rookie, and wanted to succeed, I would heed the advice I was being given.

But it is your choice to strike out on your own, with 0 training, 0 guidance, and kind of just figurin it out along the way, the whole time hoping that nothing goes wrong. You kind of remind me of a mule I once had, he always kind of wanted to run his own program too. Last I saw of him, his owner had tied him with a logging chain to the bumper of his pick up truck and drove off down the highway....

Best of luck to you.

Call "thebishopp" he is in your neck of the woods so to speak and I think he would be of great assistance to you with questions and guidance there in Indiana.
