My condolences and prayers are there for you and your family also, Lance.

Many years ago I lost my grandmother, mother-in-law, and father all in just over a year. In all cases it was expected, but was still very hard on me and my family. Whether a "believer" or not, we have to accept that these loved ones are in a better place and out of their physical pain and suffering. We are a part of them as they are a part of us, and we will always miss their physical presence.

Our pain over having this loss in our lives may lessen, but the memories are forever. This is their legacy, and though it may seem a shallow substitute at the time of loss, the memories remain and they are never forgotten.
