Mr. Chapman was bounty hunting in California again. Go to http://www.sfexaminer.com/articles/2005 ... 05_dog.txt

Although he used the police he was still bounty hunting, i.e., searching for a fugitive in quest of a reward.

I forgot what the California law is that prevents felons from bounty hunting. Is it something like PC 1255?

I like how they said he counsels his subjects, like hes Dr. Phil or something. I guess in a way he is, becuase Dr. Phil is a total fake to and leads people to belive hes something hes not.

I am not an attorney, but I would urge Mr. Chapman to ask his attorney to research the following on his behalf prior to taking any action in California:

Would and ex-felon be guilty of a misdemeanor (PC 1299.11) if he is not in compliance with PC 1299.01(d); moreover, is it a misdemeanor if his skip is an out-of-state bond and no one complied with PC 847.5; see also PC 1299.02 & 1299.04 subsections?

See PC 1299.04(5): does this section prohibit anyone who has been convicted of a felony from doing bail fugitive recovery work in California?

Finally, is it a felony for an ex- felon to be in possession of body armor (16 months or 2 or 3 years in prison) in California per PC 12370(a); however, under PC 12370(b), can an ex-felon petition to have the prohibition waived with a sheriff or police chief?

Why did the police let him work there when he doesn’t have a license for that state?

Face it, he gets away with things because he is "The Dog" he is on TV and everybody knows him. If any regular BEA's had his background and tried this same thing in CA we would be in jail next to our skip!
