I believe these are all great ideas. I hope that everyone who is able and willing to be members of this association take advantage whilst also continuing to provide excellent feedback to help strengthen the foundation of N.A.B.B.I.

I fear, however, that as I read through all this, I may already very well be disqualified from being a member based on the presented regulations of membership that may be put into place once formation is complete. I also stress that I most likely am not the only one. I would like to believe that I am very professional and am always striving to exceed the standards our our industry's image. But, one small (yet very large) issue still comes to play. I am in an unregulated state. I am one of maybe two or three people who actually actively do bail enforcement in the State of Wyoming (though I primarily handle out of state cases). I try not to sound like a stickler in this area, but there will need to be some sort of resolve within the industry and this association that is tailored to those states without regulation. Otherwise, it is like stating "Those in regulated states are superior to those in non-regulated states, and therefore welcome in this association". It's a broad analogy, but it really does set the standard against those who are professionals in the unfortunate circumstances of state regulations.

I would like to see some opinions on this matter as this could become a common issue in the future.

For now, I don't think anyone should worry about not being allowed to join. Most of the people on here can be verified by someone else here.

We can also ask for references from bail agents or surety companies, to help verify those in none regulated states.

Once we get the ethics and mission statements fleshed out in the committee, we can start work on the bylaws. I already have a templet to work from so it will not take much time to get them together.

Again, lets not start worrying about certain details until the committee has had a chance to address them.

As far as I am concerned there is only one person and his associates that should not be allowed to join. And I think everyone knows of whom I speak.

They have a big ethics problem!

Woof, woof!

Tony, would you like for me to send you a copy of the FRTF code of ethics and bylaws ? If so I can do that once I return home.

LuV,

I have sent a draft of the ethics to the committee for approval. I waiting on a member to submit a few more suggestions for the ethics. Once that is done we will post them for everyone to have input.

As with making stew, too many cooks can spoil it. We will have time to let EVERYONE have input but we need to get the basics down first.

Now I am working on the bylaws draft. Again is is just the starting point. The committee will tweak them and then we will post for everyone to give comments.

Hey Tim
I would just wait and see what Tony and the committee comes up with as far as how the NABBI will go. I think if you can show proof of BEA Agent. I Think it would be good to take some online courses. Take a look at Continuing Education for Private Investigators.

Tony,
I know I'm not on any committee, but if I can help in any way, I'm available.
