I am considering adding another feature for Directory Members. It is a referral based system (like an affiliate program) Each Directory member will be given a link (url) that they can supply to potential members. If someone clicks the link the member is credited with a referral if the person upgrades to a Premium Listing. In turn the Directory Member that referred the new member will receive a $10 credit! These credits can be applied to a Premium Directory upgrade for themselves or once the the accumulated balance exceeds $50 they can receive a payment. I haven't worked out all the details - however, I wanted to get your feedback? |

Phil, the FRN directory is without a doubt a valuable advertising resource and I strongly attest to that, my question is why do you continue to give it away ? Not that I don't appreciate the free service but when I look at sites like servenow.com and what they charge for a listing I see a lot of lost revenue for you. When the FRN was in it's infancy it was a good promotion tool to have free listings, but now ? I would have no problem paying a reasonable fee for the listing, and the reason I never went for the premium is because there's no competing listings in my area, so I don't see it as helping with additional exposure. This may be an unpopular view, but I think having all directory listings paid instead of free would be justifiable, and would help weed out the nutcases that start a fugitive recovery agency in their own mind after watching an episode of DTBH. |

Unpopular or not, I agree. |

I like the concept - however, as you know not many are willing to pay the price to upgrade to Premium. I was thinking of making a Standard Listing a small annual fee of $10 - $25 The benefits of having a Premium Listing certainly out weigh those of a Standard Listing, yet having to pay something would certain stop many of the false listings from being added. |

Phil, This is your forum and far be it from me to tell you how to operate it, but as an example, I came here not looking for work (check my intro) but I did get a premium listing when you had some family issues. Since then I can't tell you right off how much work has come my way but it far outweighs what I paid for the listing. To get an exact total would take more time than I have right now. I've also made many friends all over the country when they would call me for help. I see your point but the price for a premium listing is nothin compared to the money I've made because of that listing. Just wanted to throw that in there. |

I assumed this was the way to make a start in this business, was I not correct... |
