Just finished speaking with the presidents of the North Carolina and Mississippi Bail Associations. While neither were able to give a yes or no answer, both gave me their email addresses for more information and agreed to get back with me regarding a presentation at their meetings. We need to be contacting every association for support. I am willing to travel, but if anyone is closer, feel free to jump in.

Joe,

I would contact Jay, since he has a solid rapport with the president of our State's Association.

Please anyone!!! If you have any connections with any of the state associations, do not wait for me!!!
Contact them yourself!! I don't think you have to be a member of my committee to make those kind of connections. SPREAD THE WORD!! If your uncomfortable with public speaking, still make the contact and there are several people who will take it from there!!

Joe,

I know you have been working hard on this and I still haven't heard from Dallas M. The following is the number to another association in NC. 800-300-3780 you can also reach them at http://www.NCbailacademy.com. I would do this Joe, but you have a much better communication skills than me and the results will be much better with you making contact. I'm working on my 20 people I committed to joining NABBI. Good luck.

Take care

Joe,

It would help if you had some kind of printed brochure, mission statement, goals, etc. so that everyone is preaching the same script. I don't think it's a good idea to allow people to "wing" a sales pitch. Incorrect/confusing information might get disseminated which could place NABBI in a bad position. Every salesperson needs to be on the exact same page.

Also, if you could do a "Q&A" sheet for us, you know the questions you were asked, then that would be extremely helpful. Last thing you want is someone representing us who then constantly answers "I don't know".

For example, if it were me doing a pitch to you or Scott M. and others of your ilk, y'all would soon realize I was unprepared and ill equipped for the presentation because I don't know anywhere near the stuff guys like y'all do. I would constantly be saying "I don't know".

Just my opinion.

The Code of Ethics and Mission Statements are posted on the website. They would be a good starting point.

If someone can work on a talking points list, that would be very helpful.

Right now I am dealing with a lot of other things and can't at this time do a talking points letter.

Also, it seems like the word is spreading around as I am getting emails and calls from people interetsted in NABBI. So, keep up the good work.

I did a talking points before St. Louis. I will find it and send it to Tony and the board for approval and dissemination. Lion instigated me to do it back then as I recall.

I gave them the web site address and told them they would find our mission statement and goals there. I have a presentation that I'm putting together, but it is germane to my experience and goals. Albeit within the framework that we all agreed to support. I don't think anyone needs to parrot what i say, just be honest and sincere. Encourage them to check out our website, investigate our leaders and decide for themselves whether or not NABBI is something they can support and get behind. The people we are trying to reach do not need to be spoon fed, nor are they for the most part novices. Keeping it simple will allow them to decide for themselves if we are something they want to join and support.

I have spoken with Bill Honea the president of the AL Bail Bondings Association on several ocations and even met with him in Mongomery. Bill is an avid PBUS supporter and wants NABBI and PBUS work together.

I will see him again in Montgomery for another ABBA meeting. We are also working on Alabama Regional Associations and I will at least be able to introduce NABBI to the NE AL Assoc. as a strong start.

I am in talks with John Bench (owner of Absolute Bail Bonds and President of the Golden State Bail Agents Association) out here (it didn't hurt at all that he knows Tony!). I will get back to everyone about him joining, and the GSBAA supporting us, shortly. I believe my rapport with Deborah Jallad, of Accredited Surety and Casualty, has somehow fallen short of the mark, though. I am also pitching to the Orange county Bail Agents Association early next month.
