Networking and association are the main reasons I stick around here and joined NABBI and the reason I feel all in this business need to do the same.... it will only do for you what you allow it to do.... it won't necessarily open doors but it will certainly tell people that you work with and for... that you are dedicated enough to associate yourself with other professionals and in that light.... it is worthwhile...

Howdy Speezack!
That's probably the most cogent reasoning I've seen yet for joining NABBI. You make a compelling argument, and I appreciate it.

As for joining soley for what NABBI can do for me, I don't believe I made any such comment. If I am in error, it would be a surprise to me to learn of it.

I am working on 3 cases right now that I'd really love to get closed real quick and efficiently. Ain't one of them easy, either. But I got the last guy, and I'll get these folks too! Then, to celebrate, I believe I'll be sending in my application to join.

Figure that's gonna happen in a couple of days.

Blessings,
M-Taliesin

I noticed this is a pretty old thread as far as the NABBI memberships anyone in the profession or thinking of this profession I wrote of this in my introduction. This industry is on thin ice in alot of States due to the fact that un-professionals have give this business a bad name.

joining a Professional organization with a forcus on building a legal fund would be the best objective although don't know if that is one of you're objectives and lobby legislatures to protect this industry, as I said Im not even in the business only thinking about it. and one of he reasons I have second thoughts is not knowing if One I can do the Job and two make this business work. there is alot you need to know. I know I can do the Job but can I make a living out of It.

some find it easy to get in the business and find a Bail Agent to give them a skip to find and Bang their professional bounty Hunters, wrong professionalism comes from respect for you business or industry ,and there is no news here that this industry has a Black eye right now. and the real evidence of this is Legislatures and lobbiest working to further regulate private Bail or maybe Eliminate it completely.. don't worry cases will get back to the supreme court and given violations of people constitutional rights by Bounty Hunters given yesterdays ruling on Immagration and Illegals rights where do you think they will come down on American citizens rights. I will join once I decide If this business is going to work for me ..

A friend from Arizona called me last night. I had met Bill through networking on FRN. He's a Bondsman, Fugitive Recovery Agent and a PI. He called and told me he was downloading the NABBI application and was looking forward to being a part of the association. The Application and check should be in the mail by now. He'a a really good guy with many connections including judges in his area of operation.

He should be introducing himself on FRN in a few days.

Where would Noah have been if he had waited till it started raining before he built the Ark?????

I think it was Einstein that said.... "I'm glad no one has ever offered to help me, it made me do it myself"

If no one moves to enact change.... there will be no change....

and another quote I like from Mr. Einstein.... "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Im just waiting to get my license and determine if this business is for me or not. Still have not made that decision. More then likely I will get my PI but maybe not do BEA...or anything to do with Bail. This Forum is my Education tool right now.

No problem... my response was not aimed at you specifically... just a comment aimed at all the "fence sitters"... so many folks contemplating this business will sit around and wait for someone else to do something and then jump in later... just human nature... most organizations are worked by only about 5% of the membership... the rest are just along for the ride and "what's in it for me?"
