Story by thedenverchannel.com DENVER -- After an overnight search, Denver police found and arrested a fugitive who escaped their grasp once. Jose Angel Ruiz was arrested at 7:20 a.m. on Sunday in the west economy lots at Denver International Airport. A passer-by spotted Ruiz hiding in the back of a pickup truck. Ruiz escaped police custody on Saturday night after being caught at the airport. Ruiz was spotted trying to steal luggage at DIA on Saturday night. He was nabbed in Concourse C by police. Ruiz is a fugitive wanted for burglary and escape in Missouri and Texas. While being arrested on Saturday night, Ruiz resisted and made an attempt for an officer's firearm. After being apprehended, the suspect escaped while being escorted through the airport. |
