I'm hoping the video shows up on the site later. Bounty Hunter Handcuffs Suspect Posted: 3:10 PM Oct 23, 2008 Last Updated: 4:01 PM Oct 23, 2008 Reporter: Mindy Stone Email Address: mstone@kktv.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A | A | AA bounty hunter is being called a hero for handcuffing a woman, who allegedly stole hair extensions from a Colorado Springs beauty supply store near Chelton Road and Academy Boulevard. There were allegedly two suspects, including 23-year-old Shantae Smith, assaulting two employees outside the store when Tracy Arentz pulled up. "I just drove over here real fast and assessed the situation. I saw that these people were getting assaulted," said Bounty Hunter Tracy Arentz. "The gentleman had lots of blood on his face and the other individual had been bitten severely." Arentz says she quickly grabbed her handcuffs and nabbed the Smith. The other suspect got away. "I guess I was in the right place at the right time," said Arentz. Police showed up minutes later and arrested Smith. She now faces several felony charges, including crimes against at risk adults because of the victim's age. "If she hadn't showed up, I don't think I could have handled both of them any further than that," said one of the victims, Alvin Nabb. Smith is being held at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center. Police are still searching for the other woman. Find this article at: http://www.kktv.com/home/headlines/33077719.html |

Love to hear it....and to think; I got a LE reprimand for chasing down (on foot) a shop lifter at Wal Mart, a few months ago. They would have lost nearly $600 in video games and electronics, if I hadn’t because their employees can’t leave the store while on the clock (even for these cases). Although the 3 mile chase was good for both of us, the police didn’t appreciate it. It is good to hear that others do there part, work aside, and get recognized for it. Great job. |
