Quote: Unlike law-enforcement officers, bond agents can snatch skips without a warrant. Also unlike police, bail-bond agents don’t need to seek extradition if someone crosses state lines. I do believe that statement is not exactly true... in Virginia, we do need proper paper to arrest and extradition is a bit more complicated... in Texas for example... I cannot walk in pick up my skip and leave... and that is also true in many other states... Quote: You just want to do it as safe as possible. I think that about sums it up... after 15+ years as a licensed bondsman... I have never pulled my weapon and can number on one hand the times I had a physical confrontation with a skip... it simply has to do with how you present yourself and how you handle yourself when in any given situation.... period. |
