Apparently his history has caused him to be shot by law enforcement before. I pray that I am never involved in the discharge of my firearm on another person.
Prayers foir the families of all involved.

Scott

We practice and qualify with our weapons regularly but we all should hope that this scenario never comes to pass.

Be prepared and be very aware that the sight of a firearm in any given situation will absolutely raise the level of confrontation and may be the worst thing you can do...

I carry most all of the time but it is very well concealed and I can tell you.... it won't be pulled unless I truly feel it is absolutely necessary in the present situation.

After 14 years in this business, I have never drawn it. I am prepared to do so, but so far, have not. I think I may be a better talker than a shooter and do not wish to find out for sure....

I kid around a lot on this site but rest assured, I am very serious when it comes to actually pulling your firearm in a confrontational situation.

Most of us are not Rambo.... even though we may think we are.....

Quote:
Dana Ginder, Hawk and LaBrosse all said they avoid the types of dangerous pick-ups such as the one that occurred in Cromwell last week.

In that instance, three recovery agents went to the home without the backup of law enforcement. Helman had been involved in a standoff with police a few years before.

“No way would I go into that kind of situation without law enforcement,” Ginder said.

“I’m not going to be chasing bad guys like that,” LaBrosse said.

Ginder said she worked in the industry for five years with her father, then left. She and her husband have taken over the business since her father’s death earlier this year.

She said she never has had to go herself and use the arrest powers granted by her state license to apprehend a fugitive.

“I’m licensed to, but I don’t,” Hawk said. “I’m a woman. I’m not safe to do those things.”

Those situations are when licensed recovery agents occasionally are used by local bondsmen.

The aforementioned statements only confirms want I have said for years, this type of work is not for everybody. A minor infraction could turn dangerous if the defendant is not a career criminal and afraid of going to jail, therefore her rational does not hold water. The Bondswoman "Hawk" just set women in the criminal justice field back a hundred years with that dumbass statement. I know female agents and police officers that I trust more then some dudes...JMHO

The BH's are friends. Well "friends". I worked with them on a few cases they needed help with the end of last year (example Daniel Pennington) that were successful but ultimately I refused to work with them any further due to dangerous and careless methods.

This is what happens when inexperience meets danger.
