Howdy Amigo!
The whole "Dog the Bounty Hunter" thing leaves me undecided.

I base the measure of a man by my own observations. As for Dog, I've never met the man nor any of his team. I hear plenty from folks I know and respect here in Colorado. What they say ain't very good. There was a conflab in Breckenridge where one of Dog's entourage punched a local citizen resulting in injuries to the man, and everybody in the restaurant/bar becoming enraged. Outside, Dog challenged a guy to "Come down here white boy", evidently with an eye to starting up a fight. The guy he challenged had referred to Dog as "halfbreed", and because Dog is part NA, one can understand where it would irk the man.

Like I said, I ain't met the man, and won't judge him without ever having met him. But that incident in Breckenridge certainly doesn't speak well of him, and is consistent what local folks in the business have to say about him.

I also haven't met the Mesa County Sheriff, but I'd figure he's speaking true about the incident that took place in his facility.

I've only just watched a few of his television shows, and I'm sure they portray him in the best possible light, whereas his detractors do their best to tear him down. I bet the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Pobody's Nerfect, ya know.
And I won't hazard an opinion of somebody I've never met.
But my initial impression is toward the negative side of the scale.

Oh, and my mentor had a run-in with the man. He has no use for him whatsoever. His opinion is one I value highly, but does not dictate my own. I'll wait until, and if, I ever encounter him myself.

Thanks for the link!
Mel

If you stick around in this business, you will, after a very short time, form your opinion.... and it will be formed whether you meet him or not.

I also, have not met him but my opinion is formed. I do not have to meet someone to form a very solid opinion.

I am also influenced by the opinions of others that I hold in high esteem... their opinion will very often have much to do with the forming of mine.

I don't think you'll have to do much reading to understand the thoughts the members on here have for most all of the reality TV shows related to BEA work.... so much has been written related to these thoughts that I won't even start in that direction... just search and read and you'll be amazed how much is here.

Bounty Wars is being filmed in LA right now. It is a fugitive recovery take on 'The Amazing Race' where teams of bounty hunters compete for who can tally up the mosts arrests within a set timeframe. The producers, one a Ca. licensed PI, dropped by during the last Orange County Bail Agent's Association meeting. They were not all that well received in their pursuit of "cases" for the show.

On the subject of TAT-2 the bounty hunter. What a freaking "JOKE". This guy brings a whole new insult to Fugitive Recovery. The local Law Enforcement Agencies don't even want him in their parishes. They don't want their patrolmen to even assist him because of his negative talk about law enforcement and his against the GRAIN actions. Rumor has it that several complaints have been filed against him by the local citizens. TAT-2, and this soon to be show will really hurt and bring alot of scrutney and attention from Police Chiefs, Sheriff's and top law enforcement officials. FUGITIVE RECOVERY AGENTS, BRACE YOUR SELVES FOR HARDSHIP !

Howdy Folks!
At the suggestion of my team lead, I've watched quite a few episodes of DTBH, and my sentiments concerning his tactics are much in line with the sheriff out in Mesa county.

The more I watch, the more irritating it gets.

One episode I watched recently showed them all, the whole team, piling into an elevator for a trip to the 25th floor of an apartment building. Not one member stayed behind in the lobby to keep an eye on the other elevator. Sure enough, the skip came out of the building with only 'baby' leesa there to try taking him. She got throwed to the ground and the skip ran off. Meanwhile, the mutt and crew were pounding on a door while the skip skedaddled!

They eventually caught up with him, but wow... not one of them to keep an eye on the other elevator down in the lobby? Really?

Have a great day!

I'm scared of heights and I'm claustrophobic, so no elevators... I'd a stayed in the lobby with my green Clorox pistol and a roll of dimes (you do understand that, don't cha?) .... oh, and I have to take a pill if I get on an escalator....
