LOL ! DUHuhMMM criminal and Not very bright Bondsman neither. I remember getting a call for a Bail and a ride to Gmas to get the cash (Waaaay out in the country, about 30 miles from the Jail) and I turned it down. Another Bondsman did not. Dude was on the run for over a year and when he got arrested (Texas) and brought back I asked what happened. Seems the BBA gave him a lift waaaaay out there and they pulled into a drive, the dude said he was going in to get the cash and would be right back. According to what the BBA told the Judge and what the Doof told me . . . He went in the front door walked straight thru the house, out the back and he just kept going. BBA paid that bond. |

LuVonda, Now, that one was very funny! I get the "I'll pay you once I get out" story all the time. If I don't know them and have not worked with them before, "no money, no bail." |

This is what LuVonda's story reminds me of ........ "I will gladly pay you Tuesday for Bail Today..."

Makes me glad that here in Indiana credit bonding is illegal. lol. It also reminds of the time I gave domestic battery client a ride from jail and he wanted me to take to victim's house. |

Jeff, I wish CA would get rid of credit bail. Also, I have had domestic violence victims actually come to the jail to give the defendant a ride home after they have bailed out. |

True story. Several years ago a Bondsman friend of mine got a call from what appeared to be an elderly lady. She explained that her grandson was in jail and she wasn't able, due to her health to come to the jail and get her grandson out and was hoping that my friend would get her grandson out and bring him to her home (she gave the address) and she would be happy to fill out all the paperwork and pay the premium on the 25,000.00 bond. Well, my fiend posted bail for the grandson and was taking him to his grandmothers house. He stopped at a red light and you guessed it, the guy jumped from the car and ran. Turns out the "grandmother" did not live at the address she gave and the number she called from was a pay phone. As of a few years ago the guy had not been caught and my friend paid the 25 grand. These kind of scams happen more often than reported. If you're just starting out in this business i hope you'll not fall for this scam or any similar scams that are going on out there. |
