I confess that I watch the show on Netflix - some days I need the good laugh - other days it just feeds my OCD  and Paranoia  .

Although in one episode he was ripping someone (bondsman) for not getting a photo of the defendant - I made notes on my folders "Get photo" because I always panic that I will forget the photo.

Another thing is that he made a big issue of always verifying warrants when looking for someone at least 2 times per day. Again, my OCD kicked into panic mode and I find myself looking up warrants constantly and before any one knocks on a door looking for any of my bonds, I insist that they call the warrant office to double check.

OK WAIT.....

I will cop to, once in a great while, catching an episode of DTBH on NetFlix as well (mainly because my wife has met many of the vets on this here forum and would out me in a heartbeat!) but.....TAKING NOTES??? Please, do not follow anything that man says or does! No matter how right it looks.

Taking notes? With all due respect.. I am not a moron; I am not sitting there taking notes. It is called entertainment; and from the very first time I watched an episode, I've laughed my self silly. I enjoy the humor.

Over the years I have learned a number of things from a movie, a comic book, a regular book or even a cartoon.

Once my youngest son was the only one in his class that knew anything about Hinduism. His teacher was so impressed that she asked him how he knew so much about it: he confessed Abu from the Simpsons is Hindu and they discussed his religion on the show a time or two. He wasn't taking notes, he just paid attention.

I got through high school science thanks to Star Trek, Flash Comics and The Atom Comics. (Flash and Atom were scientists in their secret identities) I once held my own with a physics major using what I read in comics and Sci Fi movies. He was surprised at how much I knew about the theory of time travel and quantum physics. Did I take notes? Nope! I just paid attention.

Yes I paid attention when Dog made a big issue of taking pictures of the defendant and verifying warrants; I am not embarrassed that I paid attention, it made good sense.

The note I made?

Yup, I wrote a note to myself on my folders "get photo"! Also whenever I get a skip, I check daily and some times more than once per day verifying active warrants.

It made sense whether it was Dog, Josh Randall or Homer Simpson.

Is that really so wrong?

NOPE !

I write Notes to Self all the time when I am watching something. Just because something occurs that "reminds" me that I need to remember to do something does not mean that I was "taking notes" as to the manner in which someone else perfected a task.
It simply means that an action "jogged" my thought process
