I am looking to change my fugitive recovery business insurance and I was wondering if anyone could refer me to some companies that specifically carry FR insurance.

Please contact me via e-mail or respond to this forum topic.

Odd but I had a guy call me but I can't remember who he represented, but anyway he was trying to sell recovery agent insurance. And he got my number off the national directory here.

That's odd because I think that the same guy called me too but I deleted his message because I already had insurance. Now when I want to finally switch insurance carriers, I regret not saving his information.

There is one company I know and use that specifically writes for Bail Enforcement. Evolution Insurance Brokers in Utah. 877-678-7342, or http://www.eibdirect.com. I have worked with one of their knowledgable agents (Will) in the past and was very pleased.

They offer "starter" policies that you can use to begin with, then you can upgrade to higher ploicies as your business grows.

Sorry if I sounded like a salesman. It's just an FYI.

Thanks Dirk. That name Evolution Insurance Brokers sounds familiar to me and I believe that was the company that contacted me some time ago. I will be contacting them tomorrow.

Aside from Evolution, does anyone use any other insurance company? I received a quote of $4000 for basic coverage from Evolution :-(

just a couple of tips on insurance. I found that having plocies for how you are going to do what you plan to do is a big part in reducong your premiums. we have policies on everything from surveillance to transport.
Also if you carry oc spray get your oc certification. same with restraints, tasers, firearms etc.. The more procedures you document and the more training under your belt, seems the lower your prwmiums tend to go.

sorry for the typeo's. phone keypads arent that user friendly.

Insurance as a licensed private investigator who is authorized to perform bail enforcement is cheaper than $4000 a year. I have seen PI premiums around $700 a year.

Your right but you must confirm with the insurance company that they will cover bail enforcement.
All because you are able to do bail enforcement under your PI license doesn't mean that the insurance company will cover it should an incident arise.
