Is it true that a Canadian can work in the States as a fugitive recovery agent ?
If yes, where may I find the info ?

To my limited knowledge, my answer would be a simple "No", it isn't true.

1) Most states require a person to be a U.S. Citizen

2) There is some kind of regulation regarding work visas requiring that you have a specific and specialized job skill that is needed in the USA, that an employer needs that no American possesses. Something along those lines, not certain as to the exact verbage.

3) Weapons issues

4) CCW issues

5) Leo equipment issues

etc, etc,.

If you desire to work in this field, then it seems to me that you will have to immigrate here legally, obtain a work visa, while at the same time applying for U.S. Citizenship. Once you have become a Naturalized Citizen, then you could legally engage in whatever American Business you desired.

To work in California you must be a legal U.S. resident. The problem is be able to pass the background checks to take some of the required classes.
