Post subject:  H.R. 1 Bill

I have read this bill (H.R. 1) over and over. We all are going to lose our jobs people if we don't do anything about it.

I know some people already got a email from there Insurance company's about this issue.

Here's a copy of the email I got from my Insurance company.

The Senate began debate on HR 1. Our focus is to have as many individuals as possible, bail agents, staff members, aunts, uncles and the like, email their Senators in opposition to HR 1. A section of S.1 awards $3 billion to the Edward Byrne Memorial Assistance Grant Program. That $3 billion could be used to fund Pre-Trial Release programs.

The PBUS has placed a link for the Senate on the front page of their website, www.pbus.com. Go to the PBUS website and click in the "H.R. 1" link that takes you to a name and address page. Click on the "Choose a State" tab, choose your state, and it gives you the two names of your state's Senators. Clicking on each Senator's email address takes you to an email form. Fill it in, and type the following in the message section: "I oppose HR.1 because it will effectively put me out of business. I am opposed to the portion of HR.1 that provides $3 billion funding to the Edward Byrne Memorial Assistance Grant Program that could be used to fund Pre-Trial Release Programs." Then hit submit and off it goes.

Time is of the absolute essence. Some say we have a four (4) day window, others think less. We are talking about saving 25,000 jobs and one profession. Please take a few minutes and do this today. Thank you!

As an example,

Senator Mikulski,
As you should now, I am a supporter of yours financially. My business would be placed in jeopardy if this bill, H.R. 1 passes and is funded. Pre-Trial Release should be used for indigents with no previous Failure to Appears, and no violent history. It is being used for all of the above and that poses a danger to society since they are neither monitored or held accountable as they would be with commercial bail. When your family signs for you, your behavior is placed in check because they are financially responsible for you. Pre-Trial release and 10% to the court bonds afford the citizens no protections.
I have recovered fugitives in 34 states, and then watched the defendant be released on personal recognizance or with Pre-Trial, and in my opinion, that is criminal.

Please fight the funding and approval of this Bill. You may contact me by email for additional information if needed or by phone to debate the topic.

Thanks in advance,

Very well said Scott,

I would add that this bill as written would only cause a higher rate of recidivism insofar as pre-release and 10% does not allow for supervision of hardcore bandits. IMHO
