I Have a skip that I believe is in Detroit. I ran a irb search and the most up to date add. was from dec. of 08 but called the landlord and it is currently vacant and has been so for a couple of months. The wife was going to snitch on him for the reward but then quit taking my calls and finally changed her number. I am waiting on results from a utility search but was just seeing if there are any experienced agents in Detroit around wayne county.

Aaron Car of Peerless Recovery

Andy Dickey of Tri-State Bail Recovery

Terry Moon of Saginaw Metro

Steve Faircloth of Ohio, but he's only a couple of hours from there.

Last but not least, 1 of my team member's is from there, still has relatives there. We were just up there last month after 1 of my own. So if no one else is available, I can let you talk to him.

all 4 of these people are regulars here.

Just a side note: Apparently there is a huge debate over the recent changes in Michigan State Law. The 2 sides:
Side A: The Michigan bail association supported by PBUS believes only licensed Mi. Agents can do in state recoveries
Side B: Independent BEA's not members of the association checked with the Mi. State Attorney General's office who clarified for them that the change did not address BEA's....only pi's.

My reason in bringing this to your attnetion is that you may recieve e-mails or pm's advising you that some of the people I listed for you are not legal in the state of Mi. This would be a lie. All of those people I listed are still legally capable of rendering recovery services to anyone who may need them in Mi.

I will be meeting up with my business partner on 02/06/09 that is from Detroit. We are heading to Columbus to help Steve with a few cases. If you want I can have my guy pick up your skip and we can start bringing him south. Contact the Moderators on this site for recommendations. This also goes for any other agent that may have a skip that needs to be picked up in the Northern Indiana, Detroit or Toledo area.

The comment was made about the who can operate as a BEA in Michigan.
The state PI law gives an exemption to licensed bail agents. There is some feeling that only licensed PI's can perform locates, but the law does not give them arrest authority. If you look at the states DLEG site it says they do not regulate bail enforcement agents. There are still many independent BEA's within Michigan who operate with little or no training. Most bail bondsman perform there own recoveries to save themselves the liability.
