We finally got our power back yesterday around 6pm, it has been out since Friday morning. There was around 97,000 people with out any power after the ice. There are still about 3,000 still out but the power company will have them on tonight. We got 3/4 of a inch of it. Anyone else got blasted with ice ?

David,

We got a little over here, just enough to make the roads a slippery. Have gotten lucky so far. I was in Michigan last saturday an up there the roads were very bad. I don't think the state has any money to have the roads cleared.

They still have more on the way.

So far, I haven't had any other than the normal winter issues. Around here as with many of us, it can change day to day. Dave, let us know if we can do anything for you!

We got it last Friday and Sunday..Needless to say I had to take the truck to work because I wouldn't be able to get home. Today, it's near 50 and Sunday will be near 60, and I can finally see graass...the Litchfield Hills and parts of Mass didn't have power for over a week...

Yall can keep it. We got destroyed last year. No power, living on generator to run lights and fireplace fan. Keep the fire stoked and everyone sleep in the living room. Bottled water. Not fun. You could drive around and not even be able to see houses with all the broken off limbs in the yards.

Hang in there, were praying for you.

Thankfully, it's over..it's already 45 degrees here and near 60 on Sunday...I'm just glad to see grass.
Where we live we didn't get all the damage that was in the pictures..we got sleet and snow. I hated it but Kelsey loved it..couldn't get her to come in!

You know...that stuff that looks pretty when it falls...then turns to brown when the state sands the roads...

C'mon...you get snow in Virginia :)

This past week we have had rain, sleet, a smidge of snow, more rain, more sleet and then when ya think that it couldn't get any worse (it is Arkansas, Ya know) it froze and . . .of course the amatuers have got to run the roads. Sheesh!
The accidents were something . . . and NO ONE lost their life. Can we say this is the week of Jesus' Birthday . . . just maybe he really does watch out for Drunks and Fools
I am glad that all are OK, and Bundle UP! I am still without a roof (tarps) Dear Lord I hate living in a Man's World and trying to run a job, Thank God I have two BIG Buddies that love cuddleing with their Mommy and Katie fills my lap
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY

Yea, I was wondering about this phenomenon called snow. As I understand it, it must be cold to see this stuff. It has been years since we have seen temperatures under freezing for more than a day or two. As a child I used to get the odd chance of playing in cold white stuff that I believed was called snow......but that may have been a dream.
