I am taking this course from Reid & Associates next week. Do any of you guys use this Technique in the field? I've taken several Investigator courses in the past but have never heard this technique before. PS My company is working on getting me my PI license |

Yes, had that training and used it in LE. But...in college we were presented with the stats. and specific, detailed case references to false confessions that it had elicited. In one case, a murder, a suspect with not so high an I.Q. was convinced that he had committed the crime and confessed, and it was later proven that another suspect had actually did it. We had to write papers analyzing the flaws of the technique. |
