Post subject: | Taser International Price Increase |
I was informed earlier today by a source affiliated with Taser International that they underwent a price increase. Currently the M18 Taser is now listing for $550; The X26 is listing for $1,100.00. There was no explanation given for this increase. It was suggested that people looking for these items might consider police surplus sales. Obviously the unit will be used, but should still function properly. |

I own the X26 with an exoskeloton holster, 3 cartridges, and new battery. I only have a charge of 92, where I dry fire to check it weekly. A very nice non-lethal weapon to have. I only paid $750 for mine, I heard they have went up in price. Which model do you have? |

I don't own one. I was checking on a price for a colleague. Most of my apprehensions are non-combative. Low key, low profile, nice and quiet. In the 7 yrs. I have been in this business, I can count on 1 hand the number of times I would/could have deployed a taser. I don't need the lawsuits, court trials, negative publicity, and 1 more piece of equipment as it is to lug around on cases. I'm not against them, I just don't want the added liability...afterall we aren't cops and therefore we don't have the same protections as they do. |
