Hello everybody, My name is Lance C Wilkinson, Lance Allen Wilkinson's son. It has been several months since my father's passing and I am just starting to sift through the website which he frequented. I've read quite a few posts regarding his illness and passing and I just wanted to extend my thanks for all the kind words and prayers. I'm learning more and more as time goes on that my father was an important man to many, and left quite a lasting impression wherever he went. My own thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Thank you for your words and wishes, as I am sure he would thank you as well. If need be for any reason, I can be reached at monkikuso@aol.com Thanks again, -Lance Wilkinson |

Lance Some of us have tumultuous experiences with our parents and don't get to know them until later in life. It is more common then not to have negative experiences and then, hopefully, forgive and forget later in life. I am no exception. Your father was a true character in this industry. He incited love, hate, respect, disdain and lots of fond memories. He was a true dicotomy of personalities. I loved and respected him and shared many phone calls and emails with him. We did not always agree with each other, but always respected each other's opinion. Before your Dad passed away, I had many phone conversations with your Uncle, and he stayed by his side relaying our best wishes. Your Uncle relayed allot of good wishes and prayers from people who knew your Dad intimately as well as revered your Dad from reading his writings. I have a CD and Article your Dad wrote in the local paper up there that I have framed in my office, because he personally sent it to me. I will always love and respect your father. I hold him in the highest regard with the other Pioneers of this industry, Ralph "Papa" Thorson, Bob Burton, Mel Barth, Ed Wilson, Leonard Padilla, Joe Stiles and many more. What I have come to learn is that these are exceptional people with exceptional attributes. Some good, some bad. All type "A" over achievers. You could not accomplish what they had any other way. I hope you have found peace and can read the stories on here and enjoy him as we did. May God Bless! Scott |

Your father was one of my mentors. Although I may not have always agreed wtih his tactics or ways of expressing himself. I never doubted his knowledge or what I learned from him. I know that he was personally well loved, and he was well hated. Professionally, it was the same. No matter what anyone thought of him, he was well respected! I only knew him from the forum and some private e-mails, but I do miss him very much. Many don't understand the relationships that we build online, but they are real, honest and true. Your dad was my friend, and I loved and respected him. A few of us also got a copy of his last book on CD. That will be treasured along with our fond memories of him. |
