Hello all I use to be in Bond Enforcement and regret getting out of it but I'm extremely interested in getting back into it. Unfortunately I live in Nebraska. Not that much of a problem because I have no objections to traveling. I look forward to interacting w/ as many of u guys as possible. Throw back a few idea on how to get wet in this again and look forward to learning any and everything I can.

Please read the BEA Faq section on this forum, also check out the "seeking position" category.

Each thread will answer most of your questions.

I was just giving a little bit of a background on myself and saying how I look forward to getting back into this. And being in a forum w/ I thought other like minded people. I'm pretty sure I didn't ask any questions. But thanks again for the umm.....directions.

To me that is a request for guidance, which is exactly what I gave you. As for attitude, ..lol..most of us can match that too..we can do this 1 of 2 ways..professionally and respectably or we can treat other disrespectfully...makes no difference to me on how you want to play it.

I have better things to do then fight in cyber space. I was again just saying how I was looking forward to interacting in the community. Next time I'll be more clear as to my intentions. So I'll again think u for the "guidance", the rest... i'll ignore

No one is fighting. You posted, what to me amounted to a request for help to get back in this business and I responded professionally to your query.

However, your repsonse to me sounded extremely disrespectful. You made it sound like you already know it all and don't need anything from any of us. So now I am really confused.

Either you need to get familairized with all of the indsutry changes and laws that have come into place since you exited however long ago, or you are on track and don't need anything from anyone.

Some clarification would be useful here. Most of the regulars here are more than willing to help, guide, mentor, educate etc. at no expense mind you, people entering the trade for the first time, or people returning to the trade after an absence.

Which are you ? Teacher or Student ? or perhaps, like the rest of us, a little bit of both ?

Somewhere we got off on the wrong foot apparently....I am trying to get caught up w/ things. It's been about 10 yrs since my last job. I was only trying to say.....i look forward to finding out as much as I can. I realize the industry has changed I'm guessing a lot in this amount of time. So again I appreciate any and all help in this. However ur response seemed a little condescending the 6 times I read it. So we started off on the wrong foot. So my humble apologies. Also I'm both a teacher and a student.

Alright.. a "Do over" it is. My name is Ruffin. I am relatively new to this field myself. I have only been in it since 2000. However, I have read as much as I can, attended schools, seminars, gatherings, networked, etc.

I have been tutored by the best in this industry. I have been privileged and honoured to have met, and on some occasions even worked with alot of people on this forum.

That is 1 of the advantages of this network. Anytime I get stumped or run out of steps on an investigation, I know I can put it out here to my colleagues, and between all of the skills, experience, and intelligence that is out here, a new direction and leads will emerge and I will then be able to move fwd on the investigation.

Enough of that.

Please understand that we get alot of people signing up on here and asking the same old tired questions over and over and over without doing any research on here for the information they seek. That is why the BEA FAQ was created. To direct people interested in this field to redundant questions so everyone wins: They get the information they seek, we aren't stuck answering repeated questions.

We simply ask that people read, research, and try to figure things out for themselves before asking us.

Topics like entering the trade, advertising, networking, weapons, clothing, badges, etc etc.

Anyway, my apologies as well. Welcome to the group, and if you think I can help, just ask.

Take care and God Bless,

Ruffin.

Okay, I read most of this before responding, but I don't think the ideas, thoughts, and opinions are limited to males. I am Kathy, and I have been in BE since 2001 and writing bonds since 2004. If I question others, it is because I want to know that anyone I work with is properly licensed and works the same liability way I do. It isn't personal as most of us on the forum work the same way.

We question any newcomer and get references before we use them. If you pass the test, we will contact you if we need you. If you don't, you are history. Any real pro is the same.
