Post subject:  The Stearns/Boucher Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Bill

H.R. 226, introduced by U.S. Representatives Cliff Stearns’ (R-Fla.) and Rich Boucher (D-Va.), would allow any person with a valid concealed firearm carrying permit or license, issued by a state, to carry a concealed firearm in any state.

our former representative, Hostetler, here in Indiana was a strong supporter of this bill.

too bad he was replaced by former Vanderburgh Co. Sherriff and Democrat Brad Elsworth. Time will tell if he will vote party line or if he will support the wishes of this pro-gun state of Indiana.

I am hoping for the latter.

Ive emailed my senators and congressmen. Havent heard a word. Cross your fingers.

It would be nice to give the Peoples Socialist Republic of Illinois the finger as I drive thru with my 45ACP still in the holster and not stripped in the trunk. I know that.

Thats no kiddin. I always wondered when legislation gets passed? I mean hell, there is an election of legislators every two years and a big one every four. Half of the legislators are always campaining. When has Hillary, Obama or Edwards had time to vote on ANYTHING? I mean, not that is bad or anything in this case, but still.

This country is going to hell. I dont wanna get on my stump, but I got lots of problems with it. I dont believe this is anywhere near what our founders that kicked out the Brits, gave us a Declaration and Constitution had in mind.

We were founded a Republic, ruled by law.

Were now a Democracy, ruled by majority.

Anyone wanna guess what the next evolution is?

Ill give you a hint. Government provided healthcare for all is a first step.....

Im off my stump and wont argue politics. It just saddens me to see such a great country headed this way.

Sorry if I stepped on any toes.

Tony (I just LOVE that wesel) and Andy;
People like US will NEED to band together when the poo-poo hits the fan. It is coming fast, thus the reason why I am buying ammo with every capture I make.

We already have the right to keep and bear arms anywhere in the United States, the second amendment does not specify that reciprocity agreements between States or any other criteria are required to exercise this right, a federal court in Washington D.C. recently ruled that the second amendment is not limited to those serving in a "Militia".

Second Amendment to the United States Constitution

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." (Second Amendment to the Constitution.)

The government / courts have been infringing on the Constitutional rights of Americans in this regard for a long time, however the powers that be don't have to obey the law, they do as they please and mis-interpret or ignore the second amendment if it suits their agenda.

I doubt this Bill will pass, with Hillary and Rudy competing for the White House we'll be lucky if they don't confiscate everyones guns in a few years.
