I got a case on Dec 26th located the fugitive in the Dominican Republic on DEC 27th and. had the fugitive in custody in NY on Dec 29th. Closed out 2006 just right. I'm a PI and I have to give thanks to Scott Maclean & Mell Barth for their added professional BEA training through NABEA and Krey Lorick through Meridian Law Enforcement Training. Their expert training has inhansed my abilities as a PI and molded me into successful Recovery Agent that I am today. Always looking for work so if anyone needs help in NY or anywhere in or out of the USA please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Investigator Don Traino dtraino@verdadinvestigations.com www.verdadinvestigations.com |

Devils advocate here Do you really expcet us to believe that? within 3 days get a case, locate in Dominican Republic and return fugitive to the U.S. I'll bet quite a few of the old timers here agree with myself and find this impossible to believe. I am sure you will come up with some story to try and justify and substantiate your claim but it will fall on deaf ears. How do you get through all of the legal red tape in 2 days? Simple you do not. Who did you contact in the D.R.? Who was the Surety Company? Where did you get the Federal Extradition Warrant from in 3 days? What court did the skip FTA from? to much in too little time! Was a provisional arrest was effected?, what was the procedure and related protocol? What was the name of or location of the police building you had to deal? If you took your skip without involving the authorities, how and from where did you depart? Waht DR airport did you arrivew in ? Santo Domingo? At least that is my observation. |

Your level of professionalism stands for it’s self . Me personally if I was arrogant enough to ask I would have asked for a cell # then got the information validated it and then posted a sincere apology. I was under the impression that this was a great avenue for professionals to network help. I had no idea it is a competitive ring. Sincerely, Inv D Traino |

Mr. Traino, 1) It is not competitive. Rather we scrutinize very closely all new personalities in an effort to screen out liars, frauds, cheats, wannabes, etc. The claim you have made regarding clearing a case within 72 hrs between NY and the DR seems a bit unrealistic to those of us who have been in this business for awhile. Additionally, 1 of our members here has performed very similar apprehensions in the DR and based on his many exploits there, your claim seems unlikely if you did it legally and by the numbers. 2) We also take exception to your use of "Investigator". We have many posts regarding BEA's and thier monikers. "Investigator", in the way you use it here, implies that you are some sort of law enforcement officer. Are you ? If you are, then of course you are correct and legal in the use of it. If you are not a Leo, then in some areas, you are breaking the law when you present yourself as such. So why can't you simply be satisfied with "Dan Traino NY PI" ? or something to that effect ? |

Robert, You are out of line on this one. I was aware of this situation as it was developing and it was accomplished in the time frame stated, period. Don and his crew are the real deal, accomplished and professional to the nth degree. I reccomended that they post on here as I thought they could benefit the group. That is why they joined. There are investigators that prefer to stay sub-rosa and not attract attention to themselves, these guys are in that catagory. No harm, no foul. Welcome aboard Don, and again, congrats on a job well done. Scott |
