BECAUSE OF BONDSMAN CREEP GOES TO PRISON

DeRidder Man, 37, Gets 10 Years in Porn Case
LAFAYETTE - A DeRidder man was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in prison on federal child pornography charges.

Jeffrey Johnson, 37, was convicted in August after a one-day trial.

He was arrested after giving a bail bondsman a computer as payment for a debt, according to federal prosecutors.

Prosecutors said the bondsman's wife found child pornography on the computer and reported it to the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office.

Investigators later searched Johnson's home, where they found a computer and compact discs containing hundreds of images of hard- core child pornography, prosecutors said. The 10-year sentence handed down by U.S. District Judge Richard Haik was the maximum penalty allowed in the case.

Wow, 10 years for jus looking, I could see if the pervert weirdo was actually molesting a child, But pictures!
Thats just telling criminals, If your gonna do a crime make sure you kill someone in the end, Cause the sentence will be the same.

That is probably what he plead out to - Here in Arkansas he would be required by law to register as a sex offender for a min. of 15 years.

I am offended by this reply. Ten years for only having pictures of children being raped and sexually assaulted? I think this individual got off light. I would have sentenced him to LIFE with the Big Boys.

What we have here is what is called "Supply and Demand". This individual PAID MONEY for those photos, which means someone was PAID MONEY to take the photos. Children were HARMED so that this individual could choke his chicken, as he looked at them.

This type of reply from "Green Beret" is just sad in my opinion.

I have to agree with you, Steve. Nobody knows the extent that this pervert may have gone to if he hadn't been caught or what he was doing that he hadn't been caught for.

you need 2 reread the post. it said hundreds of pictures. u think ten yrs is much for hundreds of pics? some would think it light for only one. Ask the victim of just one of the pics (whose life will never be the same) if they think it light.

What happens when the pics alone don't meet his desires? He then acts out to highten the intended response.

Fry his butt!

Ten years is long enough for the guys on the inside to take care of business.

Scott and the others that think 10 is not enough . . . you are right . . . In my humble opinion anybody that is convicted or pleads guilty to anything doing with child porn and or child sexual abuse . . . should be publicly flogged until death.
Want the individual to feel every moment.

Luvonda,
Are there any known instances of someone recovering from their desire to be a predator on children? Obviously, since there needs to be a register of offenders, the Government knows this as well. Our tax dollars should not be committed to housing and monitoring such individuals that by their actions demonstrate their inability to fit into a social norm.

Spend the money treating the victims, they will be afflicted for life.

Scott - I have not seen or heard of any - seems that all that get charged, convicted and registered here (in Cleburne Cty) repeat - and I have read numerous articles in papers across the States that confirm the same is pretty much a norm. The guy that was in prison here in AR for raping a girl (pres. Clinton's cousin) was released on Parole and conveniently slipped his bracelet and left the State to rape again. The real kicker on that one is that he was castrated in Prison (as part of his conditions of parole - his request) and that did not work....SO...I think that to rid the public and not risk our children - they should expire upon sentence.
