Post subject:  Change of Scenery

Im considering a change of scenery in the future. Not anytime soon, but a few years, possibly. My wife and I have been spending some time in AZ and love it. When our boys get grown and gone, we may want to move. By then I suspect my partner will be wanting to quit as hes aging and been in the business nearly thirty years now.

My question is, are there any established agents on this board in the Prescott or Tucson area? Just wondering what was available and how saturated the market is out there. Also wondering if anyone would entertain a trained agent or possibly partner. I have been in business for seven years and have a good business here. It will be hard to go on my own in a new place. I would like to work with someone else if and when I do this.

We currently have agents in a band all the way across central MO. Needless to say, I not only have alot of experience in writing bonds but also recovery as I do all the recoveries for our company to keep our agents free to write. Occasionally I hire someone to do a pickup if its a long way off or need something quick, but mostly on my own.

Just testing the waters a bit.....

Thanks

The Tucson area and southern arizona area is growing fast. If your going to buy land I'd do it now. It's hard to say where it will be in a few years. There is BEA work to be had here. There are a lot of guys listed but not active. Next time your down give me a call, I always like to meet vets. in the field.

Thanks Mark,
I will do that. I was down there two weeks ago, camped out hunting between Tucson and Phoenix. Im coming back in Jan, the week of MLK BDay, to camp and hunt near McNeal, about 15 minutes east of Tombstone. Ill call you if you want to visit.

We have been thinking of buying a 40 acre tract or less in a remote area within an hour or so of Tucson so we can build or put a modular on it when we decide to do it. I dont think the land will lose money. We really like the Prescott area, but its so grown up and no pieces of land that is affordable. I actually know where modular on forty acres is reasonable right now between Douglas and ElFrida.....

I would be interested in BEA more than bonding, if I can make good money there. Here its tough. Most companies here local do like we do. One of the owners takes care of most of the skips. I actually would like that, if I can make some good money.

Ill get in touch with you before I head out in January. Lookin forward to it.

Poperty values are very inflated in Arizona thanks to (according to those in Arizona) the ones from California that are buying up the land because of the over inflated values in their state which has caused the market pricing to climb at very fast rates. If you were thinking of moving there it should be sooner rather than later.
