Anyone have a least favorite town to work in? I do. Laurel, IN. Thankfully I've never had to go after a fugitive there yet, but I've had to do two car repos there in the last year. Funny thing was the last repo was the next door neighbor to the first repo I did almost a year before. But anyway I hate this town. Something strange about it. When I get to the city limits, everything stops working. I mean everything. My 60w radio can't reach anyone, cell phones stop working, GPS stops working, heck even sat radio stops working. I don't know what it is, but it gives me the creeps. Anyone else have a least favorite town? Or anyone ever been in those places where you have to live without all of your toys? It drives me nuts... |

Eastside of Toledo, Ohio and Detriot, Michigan. They both match up the same in my book. |

Memphis, Tn and Shelby County, Tn which is the same area. I went after a skip a couple of years ago and called in. They said that a guy was shot dead 1 block from where I was hunting and wished me luck and refused to send an officer to assist. They said if there was any gunfire to give them a call back. |

I agree completely about Laurel, IN. I think it says something about a community when the best known landmark in town is the Longbranch Saloon. I'm sure it was named after the saloon in "Gunsmoke", except the folks in the TV show didn't have nearly as many guns on them. |

Absolute quote of Bob's post - - - I was there. Could not even get anyone to look up at their door when I was knocking on it. Was told by Shelby County S.O. that they did not even "stand by to keep the peace". We got my girl and a bonus (her daughter) and got the heck out of Memphis. We actually really stirred the pot so to speak on this recovery as the Feds were wanting her too and were having a hard time finding her - that is because, as we all know, that they work "within the box". |

We were in D.C. last week and were going to pick up someone. He didn't skip yet, but didn't pay us either, and his check had bounced. Called the local police, and they said, "If you go to pick him up, and he yells for police, there's a 99% chance you're going to jail." |
