Right now there are 4 bondsmen in VT - 3 are contracted with my team and 1 uses Jeff Stewart--very limited number of surety bonds written --most bail in vt-nh-me-and ma is ror or court sponsered and we have no arrest authority on those bonds--I do not see any growth potential in the state of vermont--better keep your day job

I was wondering if we could communicate through e-mail or this site about BEA. My main goal right now in my life is to become a BEA. I came upon this decision when an ex-friend of mine was arrested in California and was bonded out, his co-signer was his wife he ended up jumping and his wife was 6 months pregnant and amongst all the stress of having to pay the money she ended up losing the child. I couldn't help but feel that anyone who is arrested and gets bail should remember that put the money up or co-signs on the bound does so because they care and when they turn around and skip or just plain fail to appear for their court date needs to be returned to justice. I read some where that most skips are only caught by the police when they are pulled over or try to cross a boarded due to the fact the the police are very busy with more serious crimes where as a BEA thats all he focuses on is finding the skip once hired by the surety agent that issued the bond. I also hear the money can be good. I would really like to achive my goal and do this.

Thank you,

Joel Foran

Joel,

If becoming a BEA is your main goal in life, you really should call Hadley and talk to him about it in person, so to speak.. It will be much more beneficial than emails or forum posts.
