Post subject:  Police vs ...(advice please)

I am currently studying "Criminal Justice" and would like to become a recovery person. It would be much appreciated and helpful if I could talk to someone.

Thanks.

if you are studying criminal justice and have the ability to pass the police dept. tests I would advise you go that route. Also may consider the military. Either are good experiences no matter what.

If you are young enough, and fit enough to go the Police way or military as my esteemed colleague previously mentioned, then dos o. Most of us who are in this field now are former, or retired law enforcement or military.

With either of those, you get valuable experience, a steady pay check, medical benefits, retirement, etc....none of these exist with BEA work.

I agree with my brothers--either pd or military--besides without a backround you most likely will never achive success as a bea--I know that tv makes it look easy but breaking into this field is harder than stealing gold from fort knox--maybe 1 in 500 stay in the field for any length of time and even less get successful at it --willie nelson sang a song mama don't let your babies be cowboy's--it should be mama don't let your babies be bea's
