I respect Sams input... however, in your situation, you might be able to help apprehend these folks but in the overall scheme of things...
... if you have plenty of money and don't need to worry about income from your recovery business and you want to run around chasing people that are not on bond... and are doing it just to be a 'good guy'... more power to you... reputations are of course very important but believe me when I tell you this... it takes much more than a few apprehensions to impress the LE side of this industry... most cops as well as those in the management end of the judicial system... could care less about you and your reputation... I believe I have built a very good rapport with the system group in my area but even after years of working hard to instill trust and respect... they will burn me in a minute if I mess up... and frankly... it just isn't worth the effort after all is said and done...
My advice is... just keep your nose clean, work within the law and don't every think you are in bed with anyone on the 'professional' side of the law... they are a fickle bunch and about all you can do is try to be legal and respectful. I personally saw a very well respected bondsman in Richmond, with over 25 years in the business... fall very fast from grace over a mistake made with a firearm that was purchased unknowingly illegally.... and he is in a 'pickle' over it as we speak... and it was very likely not his fault... but he is taking the fall on it.... and his reputation, built over many years, even if he is exonerated.. is probably in the toilet.
Not trying to be cynical on this but I try and tell people exactly what I think is factual and not rose colored...
