Hey everyone, I work for a television production company based in Los Angeles. We are looking for Fugitive Recovery Agents located in New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Nevada or Utah for a new History Channel show. We are NOT looking for the next Dog the Bounty Hunter... we want real FRA's who are particularly good at hunting down fugitives that escape to remote areas and wilderness environments. Thanks |

Gene you are so smooth Denzel would complain! I can't picture you in a cowboy hat. These people never comprehend that real pros do not want what they do, how they do it, or their face on film. That said, they should have no problem finding somebody. Scott |

Scott Scott M., In thirty eight years as a LEO/BEA, I have had occasion to arrest a lot of bandits, many of them several times. Most have been without a lot of fanfare, some wherein force had to be used. I always try to be fair with the bandits after all it is just business. This is the reason for the sarcastic response to the request. I will leave the that kind of action hero shenanigans or reality show skullduggery for those that claim to have arrested more 20,000 bad guys, carry three guns, twenty five pairs of flex cuffs, dress in tactical gear and drive fast cars and do high speed chases…. JMHO As to the Cowboy hat, you can be Matt Dillion, Bill M. can be Festus Haggen, Bill W. can be Newly O’Brian, John M. can be Chester Good, Luvonda can be Miss. Kitty Russell, and I will be a stallion rode hard and put away wet.... |

This could actually be good for our industry. If the true professionals in this business were to participate, I think the public would get an accurate depiction of what a real life FRA actually does. Problem is, nobody would watch it. For the most part, if done correctly, this business really isn't all that exciting. It is fulfilling in a lot of ways but when all is said and done, the majority of what the Professionals do is very low key and mostly down right boring. It's tiresome, working the many angles it takes to locate someone that doesn't want to be found, many hours, days and sometimes weeks in locating the skip, but again. in the end it is mostly very tiring and boring. Exactly the way the Professionals have worked really hard to make it turn out. Boring and without incident. Bill |
