Glad your home Bill.... yeah... Camp Lejeune is a pretty nice base... although the last time I was actually there was..... uh... let me think.... August 1964... I suppose it has changed a bit since then... I did visit Parris Island a year or so ago.... now that had really changed... in 1961... the 'squad bays' were old WWII wooden barracks, steam heat and NO AC!!
... and then Camp Geiger (ITR) they were corrugated quonset huts.... mmmmm.... now, they are all nice air conditioned brick... very nice... the rifle range is all nice green grass... it was dirt and sand in '61... oh well.... memories........ again, glad you are back....... thanks for mentioning Lejeune.... brought tears to my eyes.............
