I don't know... This is the kind of B.S. that makes me want to move to someplace like Nevada or Arizona...those states are much more "firearms friendly." |

If it actually goes into effect, which I guess it already is, there will be no new model semi auto handguns sold in CA. And guess what? New York will be next, then probably Illinois and the rest of the liberal states will all follow. One more thing, CA has an approved firearm list. All firearms that are on the list to be able to be sold in CA, have an expiration date. So, after a certain amount of time if the manufacturer does not apply to renew the certification of their particular firearm in CA, they can not offer them for sale anymore in CA. All handguns "certified" for sale in CA, expire either this year or next year. The manufacturers must apply to renew their certification. Here comes the "gotcha" if the manufacturer makes any little change, mechanical or cosmetic, they now have to be classified as new. So, they will be required to have micro stamping. And I have not heard of any manufactures offering that yet. If I was in charge as a gun maker, I would refuse to sell any firearms to any CA law enforcement agency. If they all boycotted CA, maybe there would be a change in the law. |

Ya'll really need to get those doofs outta office over there. I would start, with, that if a person cannot take a Constitution Test and PASS it . . . they canNOT vote ! have a real aversion to using the word "subject" when discussing stuff . . . but I am coming to terms with the "fact" that SOME folks are just . . . that . . . a Subject . . . they need to lose their "individual" status. |

Only the most naive and 'gun' ignorant person will believe the hype, rhetoric and basic baloney about "micro-stamping" and "ANY" positive effect on crime stats, violence and so forth. Not only is the technology completely flawed and remarkably easy to circumvent, the 'pipe dream' of being able to 'pick up a piece of brass' at a crime scene and 'trace' it to a criminal is something from comic books! Criminals use stolen guns and many have had the same gun for years... no micro-stamping in effect then. |

LuVonda, CA is so far gone, I see no hope for any change in the political makeup by the voters or politicians. And just yesterday the State Senate passed the following and more; The bills, which passed the state Senate mostly along party lines, ( meaning all Democrats voted for it, and Republicans against)would outlaw all new sales of semi-automatic weapons with removable magazines, ban ammunition clips that can fire more than 10 rounds, and make it illegal for people convicted of drug and alcohol felonies to own a gun for 10 years. The package of seven bills would also require people who want to buy ammunition in the state to undergo background checks and get a permit. This is just the beginning. Sorry if you are a Democrat and live in CA, if this doesn't make you think about changing, nothing will. |
