I do not post on here much but this I felt needed to be brought to everyone's attention. I am a bail enforcement agent in Georgia and a few weeks back I was hired by a man named Steve Cagle who lives in Pensacola Florida to apprehend a man named Antonio Jermaine Jackson in Stone Mountain Georgia and bring him to Alabama. He had skipped on Letts Bonding and this man Steve wanted to know if I could find him. He told me that he had hired another agent and that the other agent had no success in finding the perp. Two days later I found where he was staying and with warrant in hand apprehended and extradited him back to Alabama. Upon arrival at the sally port in Conecuh County Sheriff department in Alabama I tried to reach Steve again but kept getting voice mail. Was able to finally make contact with Letts Bonding who tells me that Steve contracted for them and that I would have to speak with him to get paid for this. Steve has disconnected all of his phone numbers and for the most part disappeared. I have heard since communicating through social media that I am not the first one this has happened to with him. So here is all I am looking for by posting this, BEWARE of this low life, I am out of $2500, Steve Cagle and Letts Bonding have done a wonderful job of taking me for a ride. 18 years and this is the first time this has happened to me. He was a real slick talker on the phone so slick that I never got a contract signed or nothing. Good luck to everyone be safe and please be aware. Thanks for the heads up. Stevie boy may have been able to pull a fast one on you but boy is he dumb or what?... Probably not a good idea to scam and then hide from someone that hunts people for a living. Just my thoughts though.

Unfortunately in this business you have people that would rather burn a good person who they could possibly use in the future just to get out of paying for one skip capture... Guess with your 18 years in the business and this being your first bad burn .. your doing awesome.. although .. I totally understand that you are out Time / Money and this is the bottom line bare fact.. its really sad that people screw others over, but sadly it happens daily.. It sure would leave a real bad taste in my mouth as well if your situation were to happen to me. For out of State Skips.. I always get a retainer .. if they do not want to pay the retainer I ask for, then they can happily be my guest to find another person to do the job for them. In this day and age you have to be cautious with companies / agents / hunters that you are not familiar with ... due your due diligence prior to accepting the contract and see if the company or guy is on the up and up .. as you found out, he has burned people in the past, and I am sure if you knew this prior you would not of even got off your couch (unless it was to grab a cold beer out of the fridge )... I hope you continue to try and find this guy and collect on what is owed to you for the services you priovided. Please keep us updated if you do square things away and finally get paid by this guy. Anyways... Thank You for letting us know your situation.. I can only speak for myself.. but if you need help in the Miami, FL area or surrounding counties I am here to help if I can. Next time don't put him in jail until you are paid, especially with someone you have no track recird with. It does make wonder if they aren't the same people. The bondsman got his exoneration and should have been happy to pay you just to know a good hunter for future use. Scott

I've heard of this happening to other guys. A guy I work with picked up an out of state skip for a bondsman. He had himin the back seat of his car and sent a picture message to the bondsman as proof of capture. He asked for HALF of his rate and the other half when he delivered the skip. The bondsman didn't want to pay. So he simply took the cuff off of him and told him, "you're free to go". Always Always Always Get paperwork first! Not to say that I think all bonndsman are slimy, as a matter of fact I have yet to meet one that isn't "stand up", and taken care of my wage promptly. But I'm sure that day will come.

To: OCB LOL. he' on here somewhere. It was under a warning topic. A few infectious diseases have been discovered in the bail industry; The CDC have been working day n night to find a cure. Cresswell- Bail enforcement Roberts- GA's / Insurance Companies Bondsman Type A- new guy Bondsman Type B- 1-3 yrs Bail Company owner- combo of type A n B , mixed with a new strand not yet classified.
