Not to give away too much info (skips watch these threads too). But i've been sitting on a house for 6 hours now.

Most of you know I'm pretty new here. I've only been doing active recoveries for about 4 or 5 months now. So my question is.

How do you pass the boredom! :)

WELCOME TO THE RECOVERY/BOND BUSINESS

BUT YOU COULD TRY.... pack-man, coffee, playboy mags, car and driver, guns and ammo.... clean your guns... bring along your girlfriend or boyfriend and be in a large van with dark windows... laptop, data phone, MRE's, mother-in-law, dog, cat, video games, movies for your DVD player.... but on a side note... if you are doing any of these things and your perp walks out the door... you may not see him/her and then you have REALLY wasted your time....

... probably the easiest is to bring another player with you and you sleep while they watch.... tag team...

What can you do to pass the time while on surveillance? That's an easy one. "Surveillance"! I know it sucks, sitting there bored while your on a stakeout but, keep this in mind; if you are focused on anything besides the surveillance, then you are not fully paying attention to the task at hand.

Of course, I could be wrong. The answer could be to catch up on some missed episodes of True Blood, but what do I know. I’m just a new guy too. 8)

Ken,

Hang tough, and good luck. I usually talk on the phone to help with the that problem. It works for me but you'll find what's works for you as time goes on.

Take care.

I like to bring my iPod. It's well-stocked with plenty of good tunes. Anything else is too distracting.

Music and conversation, if you have a partner, are about all you can do without too much distraction. Even they aren't totally without their distractions but we aren't machines.
