I recently got a GoPro video camera. It shoots in 1080p HD. Check out my video using the link below. Had good fun that day with the local Probation troops. This prison realignment crap has them way over worked and under staffed. The burglaries in this county have gone up 33 percent. And yes it took two kicks to open the door. Small porch and not enough room for a good kick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhlExXV4xsU |

Do you work for parole and probation? What were all of the different patches? Do you guys get to kick doors as probation agents? Teach me, I am curious! Scott |

We are Fugitive Recovery Agents, but we had county probation with us. They out numbered us eight to two. I worked as a Deputy Sheriff in this county for twenty years and still have a lot of contacts. That morning we were at the probation office talking to them about another case. I had a client call me while I was there and ask us to pick up a bail jumper. I told the client I was at the probation office. She told me, "I think the skip is on probation.". I asked if they knew the guy. They said they had dealt with him in past and he hides at his fathers house. Probation is unable to force entry into a home that is not listed as the suspects. That's why he hides at his dad's. Well as you know we can force entry into a third party's home to get our target. The rules are so much more fun than when I was a street Cop. I kicked the front door and out the back door he went. Probation Officers grabbed him as he flew out the door. The other guy in the video was his brother. It turned into a two for one sale. All on video. Cuts down on people trying to sue and false accusations. Camera is also good for up to 90 feet under water. Check out the video of my friend John jumping into Shark's Cove on the north shore of Hawaii. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H49qUbQl ... ure=relmfu |

We were thinking about getting some of these, but we have had decent luck with the fLip and Vado cameras. They do well in low light, pretty durable and fit right into a radio pouch for my vest. They aren't water proof to 90 feet but we've had them in the rain, snow, mud, and one of them took a good elbow a couple of times. Still kickin. I also have some vivitar cameras that run on AAA batteries, but I would steer clear of those. |
