Recently, I've been hired to find, apprehend and jail a thug. Very little time was given on this case. I worked it until I became so run down that i couldn't go any longer. Fact is, it was a losing proposition, but I had to try. For the last several days I've either been in bed or walikng around the house in sweats, sweating my butt off. This job was a few hours from my home and between the driving, interviewing of neighbors, set up on houses, no sleep, not eating or drinking enough fluids I'm out of commissiom.

When I first met with the client and got all the info as well as the time I had to find this guy, I told him I couldn't do it because there was not enough time to do all the things needed to catch his skip. Instead of sticking with my original decision I told him I would try. Well, here I am, sick and not too happy with myself for trying to do something I knew I couldn't do in the time frame given.

Lesson learned, if your insticts say no, let this one go, then maybe you should listen to your instincts. I didn't and am now paying for it.

Take care and Be safe

Sorry to hear you feel bad. I think I know the case you are talking about. You had very little time and very little to go on. Get well soon.

You make some excellent points here! We should always:
1. Know our capabilities
2. Know our limitations
3. Listen to our instincts (our instincts don't lie to us because they don't know how to lie)

I find it hard to believe that Bill Williams said.... "I can't do it"....

I will however, repeat one of my famous quotes.... you've seen it many, many times... and that is: "A man's got to know his limitations.".... I know mine and I reach it often....

Bill, here's my advice... 5 things that can regurgitate oh... I meant rejuvenate you... although one of them may actually make you weaker... you figure out which one........

Here's more of my advice.... "a good shower; a good meal; a good drink; a good nap; and a bad woman".... often referred to as .......... "4 G's and a B" also, whenever I hear of these new phones operating at "4 G's" I have to laugh.... see the reference? 8)

... what the 'heck' are you laughing at.................... 8) you know 'darn' well it is true.............. (changed the words so they would not "offend" anyone.... must try to be "professional")

See, you feel better already.............. just thinking about it............
