What is recovery like in northern Indiana? (North of Indy) Is there opportunity for regular work/big percentages to be made? What are some experiences you have to share? And would you recommend a career in recovery in Northern Indiana? Please share your thoughts

Right. I am a reserve police officer here in Indiana, and before that a student police member here in the Fort Wayne area. I have been interested in fugitive recovery long before even considering a position as a police officer. Fugitive recovery caught my eye back in 2003 after a close relative of mine got into the business in counties below marion county (Indianapolis). He has had great success and has made a full time career out of it. Currently, I am considering turning in my public credentials to pick up a new and exciting career, not to mention potentially very very rewarding, in the private sector of fugitive recovery. Before I make the transition, I would like to hear about some experiences in fugitive recovery around, and just outside of the 260 area code ( Fort Wayne, Columbia City, Kendallville, Waterloo, South bend/ Muncie, Portland, Decatur, Bluffton, Huntington). I know some people would ask me if I crazy to even consider leaving a police department in this day and age, but again, I am a reserve. I'm policing for free. As much as i enjoy it, some form of compensation would be nice for putting my life on the line. This is why Fugitive Recovery is a very realistic option for me at this time. |

In the cities you have mentioned you are looking at around 60 Bondsman and 22 licensed Recovery Agents. Since you are a Police Reserve is there any reason you can't go Commissioned Reserve(They receive pay). Just to get your Recovery license you will be looking at around a $1000. I can tell you its real slow in the Bail & Recovery business in north Indiana. I am not trying to discourage you at all just handing out information to help you make a sound decision. If you need any more information i will be glad to talk with you. |

greetings and welcome to FRN. You would be much better off pulling your 20 securing your pension and benefits, then transitioning into this career field. Next, I respectfully request for your own online security that you remove your website link from your sig line. Allegedly it causes some kind technical issues. Contact our administrator if you have any questions. He can explain it better than I can. |
