I'm just finishing up Rex Vanator's book, "Modern Bounty Hunting" and I must say it's a great read. I showed my criminal justice teacher and she also seemed interested! Can't wait to get my hands on some dvds.

Rex is a well respected pro in the BEA trade and a wealth of excellant info.My respect of him and his opinion is great. His CA methods are top shelf.
You will find many different and opposing opinions on how to due this job-many are exactly opposite but both could be right-laws vary state by state for example in most of New England there are few laws governing our procedures(NH and CONN are both license states)but CA has rather stiff and far reaching laws ie clothing weapons etc.-we both are successful in our areas of operation-For another different view of bail enforcement get a copy of my partners book THE PROFFESSIONAL FUGITIVE RECOVERY BIBLE by LANCE ALLEN WILKINSON Lances book is being used as the teaching manual in many bea courses. It is available through the PIMALL at www.pimall.com/nais/bailr.html-if you decide to get into this insane business you will soon discover a blending of all different ways and your own personality will become your trade mark style.

BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR CRIMINAL JUSTICE CAREER
as a cop- detective for 16 years i can tell you its a lifestyle not just a job
I believe the cop becomes part of you-I never can turn it off after i retired because of on the job injury -I started doing repossessions and bea work-the need to hunt was that great

Thank you for your insight Mr. Dorfman the more I study the topic, the more I'm intrigued. Honestly, to me fugitive recovery (bail enforcement) seems to be the purest form of criminal justice and at the same time one of the most complex, I guess its a bit of an enigma. I will defiantly pick up a copy of "The Bible". Hopefully when I finish college I will be able to find a mentor willing to teach and impart their wisdom.
Thanks again, Johannes
