Brian, Not sure about your area but I know some counties list active warrants on their websites. Example, Mecklenburg County NC, posts them. Might want to check your county's website...Worth a try. |

As a "Matter of Record", one can get warrant info from the Local Courts . . . LE will not run a warrant check for anyone other than LE (Class D Felony here). Makes it a bit difficult to verify warrants in the wee hours of the morning. However should one cultivate a relationship (read as "good rapport") with a department one can at the very least "confirm" a warrant. Please note my main experience is with Arkansas. However, I have dealt with several other States and have run into the same situation. It all depends on how your present "yourself" . . Act like a pompous butt and that is the way that you will be treated. Respect garners respect. |

Very good info and advice Luvonda. If not for warrant verification I'd be shut down between 5pm and 8:30 am as well as weekends. |

Shoot ! They shut the Court down here at 1800 and not open at all on Fridays . . . would make for some rather tricky recoveries if not for being able to "confirm" |

"no" would be the correct answer as far as TN. is concerned. As Miss LuVonda stated if you have a good rapport with LE they can at least verify that there is one.Problem here that I have come across also is alot of my warrants are not entered into ncic so it is also difficult determine that way as well.Felonies are usually entered but misdemeanors usually are not.I have been told that the FBI has told most agencies to not put the lesser crimes in there due to the over burdening of the system. Off the subject but there is a site here and I am not sure if it is in other states that is somewhat good at keeping track of inmates release dates. It is called vinelink. |

Misdemeanors are always "State" only . .. the truly sad part is that some Counties do not enter their felonies NCIC (I really think that laziness plays a role there) |

In CA they usually wont release warrant info, but I have found that San Diego will list the fact that a warrant exists on the county website. Here in Kern it is possible to get warrant info only on cases you are actively working on. |
