Another sad, uselss tragic death.

I have been pursuing diligently Ross Drew Millican in the Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. area. He had 6 felony warrants for his arrest from the State of Alabama.

I had coordinated with multiple Law Enforcement Agencies, both in Al. and Fl.; halfway houses, relatives, etc. the whole 9 yds all to no avail.

Mr. Millican even called his elderly handicapped mother and complained of "Bounty Hunters" being after him on one occasion.

Well rather than face me and returning to jail he decided to end it..once and for all. This past Wed. 9/28/05 at app 10pm he took app 90 pills, called his mother to say good bye and then expired.

Why ?

Why? Because he wanted to do the right thing and did.

We had a case about a year ago where the guy was on a $10K DUI, misdemeanor charge. He blew his brains out with a .45 rather than spend a few months in jail for habitual driving infractions including prior DUI's. When the detective told us that he had an arsenal in the apartment, I was glad he did it before we got there.

On the flip side, we just had a case where we were one day late in finding a skips residence. As we were about to head out I checked the inmate locator for LA County and found out that the skip had killed a person the day befor and was already in jail.
